By My life! Thy grievances have plunged Me into sorrow. Regard not the children of the world and all their doings but fix thy gaze upon God and His never-ending dominion. Ayyám-i-Há exists because of the details of the Bahá'í calendar. The Bahá'í calendar is a solar calendar (365 days in a year, 366 in leap years) consisting of nineteen months each containing nineteen days. This leaves four days (five in leap years) as intercalary days, days that do not belong to any month. These are Ayyám-i-Há.
