A gift to the friends from the late Baha'i song-writer Jim Wood. These songs were recorded by Jim in the mid 60's - early 70's on a real-to-reel recorder and then later dubbed to cassette tape, then converted again to mp3 format for use here. Unfortunately, this yields a lower quality reproduction. Happily, at least we have these gems to listen to today.
Be sure to see: "A tribute to Hand of the Cause of God Taraz'u'llah Samandari »" from a recording by Jim Wood. (The song "Samandari" is in the listing above:)

All Art is a gift of the Holy Spirit. When this light shines through the mind of a musician, it manifests itself in beautiful harmonies. Again, shining through the mind of a poet, it is seen in fine poetry and poetic prose. When the Light of the Sun of Truth inspires in the mind of a painter, he produces marvellous pictures. These gifts are fulfilling their highest purpose, when showing forth the praise of God.

Consider those who opposed the Son, when He came unto them with sovereignty and power. How many the Pharisees who were waiting to behold Him, and were lamenting over their separation from Him! And yet, when the fragrance of His coming was wafted over them, and His beauty was unveiled, they turned aside from Him and disputed with Him.-- Bahá’u’lláh »

The ultimate aim in life of every human soul, the Bahá'í writings state, should be to attain moral and spiritual excellence--to align one's inner being and outward behavior with the will of an all-loving Creator.
